Overview
3rd Studio (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a web design and development studio based in Portland, Oregon. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our website at 3rdstudio.com, submit an inquiry, or use our client services.
We don’t sell your data, we don’t monetize your information, and we keep what we collect to what’s actually needed to run a professional services business.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
Contact and inquiry forms. When you reach out through our website, we collect your name, email address, and any details you include in your message. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry and, if we work together, to manage our business relationship.

Client portal and project communications. If you’re an active client, we may collect additional information relevant to your project — such as business details, technical credentials, or billing contact information — through our client portal or direct communications. This information is used exclusively to deliver and support your project.
Information Collected Automatically
Analytics data. Our website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with our site — things like which pages are visited, how long people spend on them, and how they found us. GA4 collects data such as your approximate geographic location, browser type, device type, and pages viewed. This data is aggregated and used to improve our website and understand our audience. It is not used to identify you personally. Google processes GA4 data in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy.
Cookies and similar technologies. Our website uses cookies — small text files stored in your browser — to support basic site functionality and analytics. A cookie consent management tool is forthcoming; once in place, you will be able to review and adjust your cookie preferences. In the meantime, you can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect some site functionality.
Cookie Preferences. We use cookies to support essential site functionality, analyze traffic, and measure marketing effectiveness. Cookies are organized into three categories:
- Essential — Required for the website to function properly. These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics — Help us understand how visitors use the site by collecting anonymous usage data through Google Analytics 4.
- Marketing — Used to measure advertising campaign performance.
All non-essential cookies are active by default. You can opt out at any time by clicking “Cookie Preferences” in the site footer. When you opt out, the relevant cookies are automatically removed from your browser.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making, profiling, or targeted advertising.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share limited information with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate our business — including MailerLite for email newsletter delivery, Google for website analytics, and our hosting and project management providers. These providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the services they provide to us.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of 3rd Studio, our clients, or others.
Data Retention
We retain contact and inquiry information for as long as is reasonably necessary to manage our business relationships and fulfill any legal obligations. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. Client project data is retained for a period following project completion to support warranty, maintenance, and reference needs, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.
